By exploring the concept of being alive because of the fear of death, you will discover why humans act the way they do. Growing up, Josh read a lot of books about powerful heroes defying against mortality, inspiring him to delve into this idea further. Josh wants to show that conscientiousness is a privilege that only a few could experience. He does this through psychedelic effects such as glitching and bright colors amidst the mostly black-and-white video. Under the bright colors lies historical vignettes, underscoring the weight of political discourse. The self-produced music and sound effects also adds a sense of urgency and anxiety, immersing viewers in a dreamlike state where existential crisis meets politics. In times like this, you simply just want to run away, just as depicted in the project.
